For this exhibition, Thornton has created a series of otherworldly sculptures through repurposing lost or discarded materials that contain connections to domesticity, craft, or the hand-made. These playful forms transform their human-made component materials into abstractions that reference the magic and wonder found in nature.  Each piece is a conversation between its disparate elements, which connect and intertwine in unexpected ways to create a peculiar emotional resonance.
